The six-time PRCA Rodeo of the Year offers five days of western-themed entertainment. The 106th annual celebration kicks off July 1st with a community BBQ, Miss Black Hills Roundup Queen Coronation, and the Black Hills Roundup Ranch Rodeo.
PRCA Rodeo performances take place each evening July 2nd and 3rd, with spectacular fireworks displays lighting up the sky after both rodeo performances. July 3rd features the special “Tough Enough to Wear Pink” themed night supporting cancer awareness.
The grand finale on July 4th showcases the Black Hills Roundup Grand Parade with a spectacular B-1 bomber flyover from the United States Air Force. Throughout the week, families can enjoy carnival rides, mutton bustin’, and a variety of food vendors.

The City of Sioux Falls presents a full week of Independence Day celebrations with diverse free events throughout the community. While the traditional parade is canceled this year, numerous activities are planned across multiple venues.
The week begins June 29th with a Municipal Band Performance at Terrace Park Band Shell. June 30th features a Patriotic Kick-Off with family activities and history trivia at Jacobson Plaza at the Falls. July 1st brings American Field Day with classic games at The Westside Recreation Center.
July 2nd hosts a 4th of July Celebration Cornhole Tournament at Jacobson Plaza (registration required). July 3rd features a Patriotic Bike Parade at Jacobson Plaza for participants aged 6 and up.
Independence Day itself, July 4th, packs the schedule with a Community Lunch along Phillips Avenue, free swimming at Terrace Park Family Aquatic Center, July Open Streets with games and activities, and a free evening performance by acclaimed vocalist Andrea Ross and her Orchestra at the Levitt at the Falls.
The celebration concludes July 5th with Free Fishing Fun at Family Park and a Watermelon Roll competition at Tuthill Park.
