You won’t find Angus Valley Park on anybody’s lists of Best Parks in Tulsa County, but you might be surprised at just how much this hidden Prattville gem has to offer. Tucked away in the middle of the Angus Valley Acres addition of south Sand Springs, Angus Valley Park is a 5-acre paradise with plenty of great recreation options for local residents.
As a northside Sandite, I didn’t spend much time at Angus Valley Park while growing up. But since moving to Prattville in 2024, it has become an almost daily trip for our family now that we’re close enough to walk there. While it’s one of our favorite parks to take our toddler to, it has also become one of my favorite places to get a run in thanks to its secluded yet safe, open nature.
Quick Navigation
Things To Do at Angus Valley Park
The park packs a surprising amount of amenities into its 5 acres. A full-sized basketball court sits ready for pickup games, while a baseball practice field takes up one section of the park. Two separate playground areas cater to different age groups—one designed for toddlers ages 2-5, and another for older kids. This separation is a lifesaver for parents who don’t want their little ones getting knocked over by bigger kids during active play.
Sprawling greenspace fills the area, perfect for throwing a ball or frisbee, or for youth sports practice. It’s become a popular spot for dog walking, and on any given evening you’ll see neighbors out with their pups enjoying the open space.
Mature oaks, maples, and sycamores dot the park, providing plenty of shaded spots for picnicking. These trees give the park a well-established feel that newer developments can’t replicate.
The half-mile pea-gravel walking trail loops around the park’s perimeter, perfect for morning runs, evening walks, or pushing a stroller around while your toddler points at every dog that passes by. Built in a water abatement zone with a wet-weather creek running through the middle of the park, the Angus Valley trail is connected by a series of bridges.

Getting to Angus Valley Park
There’s no parking lot at Angus Valley Park—this is purely a neighborhood amenity surrounded on all sides by residential housing. Street parking is available at four different entrances around the park’s perimeter, but the layout really lends itself to walking or biking over from nearby homes.
The lack of a prominent entrance or dedicated parking means you won’t deal with the crowds you’d find at Case Community Park. It’s a local’s park through and through, which is exactly what makes it special for those of us who live nearby.
